Lucette, Betty, and all,
Thank you for the wonderful music postings! And yes, how insightful: Eternity is now .... so live in the moment and you will live in eternity! Lucette, I also love Joseph Campbell, and so I tried to find the David Hobson piece, but it does not seem to be available in the U.S. David Hobson is not known here.
Yes Lucette, the Ave Verum is a superb piece. My taste in classical music has changed over the years. When I was young, it was Mozart, then Beethoven, from there I went to Bach, then to Ravel, and finally to a rather eclectic mix of various artists. I presume the taste in music is related to one's inner development?
Today, as a special piece for John and Lucette, and for everyone who has found the love of their life, here is a beautiful little song by the late John Denver: A song for all lovers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJPXe0G_Bzs&feature=related
I'll post about my Africa project separately - it deserves a new thread.

| #48 | Oh thank you, Betty! Bolero is one of my favorite pieces, and what gorgeous visuals ... particularly the many butterflies and hummingbirds, who are so meaningful for me! Gerlinde |

Ravel's Bolero was in the movie "10." They played it when they had sex. It's a classic, funny movie with Dudley Moore, Bo Derek and Julie Andrews. I love it! I think you would, too! __________________ Wishing you love & peace,

| #51 | Thanks, Ruth! I'll see if I can rent it from Blockbuster. Am suffering from chemo-induced rash, so I need something funny to take my mind off the burning.

| #54 | Thank you for the lovely music/songs. Yes, Gerlinde our taste of music can change over time, but I do think there are some pieces that always stay with us, that are timeless. I was "devoted" to Beethoven when I was young, but slowly I learn to appreciate other music more and more. Although I've always loved Schubert's Ave Maria, it is only recently that I am appreciating his other "songs". Perhaps he was one of the first pop artisits. Different music reminds me of different stages of my life. Years ago when I had time I used to write lyrics/music with a friend and we recorded some for our own enjoyment. Even listening to them now makes me vividly remember those times and how I felt then. Ah, music - any music - is truly a great blessing always.

Of course Ruth there are plenty of things I can't do! Right now I can't go back to sleep because I have just bottle feed a little joey that we brought home and it won't settle down back in its pouch. It is on my lap with its head out of his pouch (made pouch out of towelling) and looking at me in the glow of the computer. My doggies are just so bored with all the attention this little chap is receiving. __________________ Love and Peace,

| #58 | Ah, Vivaldi's Spring from the four Seasons .... together with the gorgeous clips of life and creation in action ... makes my immune cells want to join in and multiply along with the beat. Thank you, Beth!
Lucette, what is a joey? perhaps a baby kangaroo? Yes, it feels so good to be able to nurse an animal back to health; you can see their gratefulness and love in their eyes.
Music - the right music can have such a healing effect! Do you know the Ave Maria by Gounod/Bach? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbZ8zPaDpJs&feature=related

| #59 | Thanks Gerlinde. I like all the various compositions of Ave Maria but the Bach/Gounod is my husband's favourite and he says to say Thank You.
Yes, a joey is a baby kangaroo. They are often found the the pouch after the mother has been killed on the road. We make a pouch for them to live in and put it in a bag that we hang on a hook; and we bottle feed them. __________________ Love and Peace,

No One Like You: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQrU1dLyJV4 Lyrics: Artist/Band: Sarah Brightman Lyrics for Song: No One Like You Lyrics for Album: Timeless
In your eyes are my secrets that I've never shown you In my heart I feel I've always known you In your arms there's a comfort that I never knew You've what I've been waiting for There's no one like you
Sure as the sunrise, pure as a prayer You fashioned hope right out of thin air Every dream I abandoned seems it could come true I believe in miracles- There's no one like you
Innocent as a newborn in a world so frightning Seems as if my world's been struck by lightning Every dream I abandoned seems it could come true I believe in miracles There's no one like you
