| #1 | Dear Thrivers,
July 27th, I asked for wisdom and prayers to create a miracle in my Mom's nursing home, to stop the travesty of what's happening in the nursing home industry. Thanx to your prayers one of the best breakthrough's is about to happen on 9/24 and9/25 and that's a strike by the United Health Worker's at the facility, by which they expect to get a significant amount of media, to expose what's going on at the facility as well as fight for better working circumstances. I have been praying non-stop as well as speaking with experts all over the country to try and stop this, without any retribution towards the residents. So for those of you feeling so inclined, could you pretty please pour on the prayer-gas the 24th and 25th, to try and help all residents in Monterey as well as all over the country ?? These people have no voice and they desperately need ours. Thanx so much in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love & hugs, Jody |

| #4 | Dear Beth & Mary Sunshine,
THANK YOU !! THANK YOU !!! THANK YOU !!!! This is truly an opportunity for so many helpless people if it gets the exposure it deserves and is truly a situation of "Think globally and act Locally". Thank you for your VERY powerful prayers and Mary you know I've said that I think goosebumps are Angel Kisses....well thank you for telling me about your reaction, because I have the deepest respect for the synchronicity of dates and what they communicate. Guess what? The 25th is the 4th anniversary of my father's death and that's one of the dates of the strike....it just let's me know everybody "upstairs" is watching over this devastating situation and protecting and supporting and assisting on every level, and their watching out for these defenseless residents and working on making miracles happen locally and globally. So may you have many more goosebumps, and thanx so much for your wonderful support. Recently ,we had a very severe heat-wave and the building has no central air-conditioning or proper equipment to cool down each room. Many of the residents were hard to arouse as they were being overwhelmed by the heat and dehydrated. Even three or four staff members became sick they felt ,from dehydration. If we leave an animal in a hot car we can get arrested for animal cruelty but leaving seniors in overheated buildings to dehydrate is ok. What is wrong with that picture ????? So again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love & hugs, Jody If we leave an animal in a ho |

| #8 | Thanx Margaret,
Not only no air conditioning, but inappropriate fans and the Ombudsman had to go in and tell them to turn the fans on. When I'm talking unbelievable, I'm not kidding. Thank you sooooo much for your prayers and support, it is sooooo appreciated!!!

| #9 | Jody I'm adding my thoughts and prayers too. We have much the same situation here. Some nursing homes have been investigated because of complaints. Our whole health system is in crisis but I won't go into that now. I've just spent a couple of days in hospital and during that time my husband got a phone call to say my mother was back at the nursing home (from hospital) and had a fall ... ... when he indicated I couldn't get over there the poor nurse was upset because someone hadn't turned up for work and she was by herself with 60 patients. No staff, no money, no care ... ... Peace and Love, Lucette. __________________ Love and Peace,

| #11 | Jody - I know how much you believe in the power of visualization so let's visualize the outcome of this strike - there are news reporters and politicians and a public apology to residents and families by the state officials that this situation was allowed to go on as long as it did. And let's visualize compassionate and loving care for all of the residents - in nursing homes and institutions everywhere! God bless you Jody for your fortitude and strength in keeping the faith!

| #13 | Jody, Will visualize positive results from the strike. Unfortunately, the health care industry is getting worse due to money concerns. It's an election year and we have the power to change things. Get out and vote for the candidates that promise health reform and then hold them to their promises. __________________ Wishing you love & peace,

You all have given me the vapors!!!!!!!
Thank you sooooooooo much for all your prayers and support!!!
Lucette, I'm so sorry to hear you were in the hospital and I hope your feeling better now. I appreciate how scary it had to have been for you about your Mom and the lack of staff and care. This whole situation is clearly a global travesty but a solveable one if people are really made aware of the facts, because I believe in the innate goodness and generosity of people, but they can't know what they don't know and we've also got to break through the desensitizations. In terms of your Mom's fall, I don't know if this alarm exists in Australia, and you may already have one for your Mom but if not, there is a fantastic bed alarm that goes across the mattress and under the bottom sheet. It is soooo sensitive that your Mom could be in Carmel and you could be in Australia talking to her on the phone and you would know when she's getting ready to fall outa bed, because if she gets near the edge of the bed the alarm goes off, and you can tell her to move back to the center of the bed....but the point is, that it alerts the staff that someone is starting to fall BEFORE they fall not after they've fallen. It is so loud you can hear it on the moon. But again going back to competency, you have to make sure they plug it into the alarm box. I found my Mom's plugged into the AT&T socket !!! Hello???
Char- Thank you so much, I know your going through nursing home hell yourself, and believe me I feel for you. I'm visualizing a chain reaction current going around the world that advocates for all forgotten and defenseless residents. LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN !!! This is an unstoppable Thrivership !!!
Mary Sunshine- LOVE your visualization !!!! Your kindness, wisdom and generosity of time has been invaluable in this effort, thank you so much for the education you've given me from your many years as a social worker. This is not stopping till it is resolved!!!
Gail and Ruth, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !! Ruth, the only thing I can imagine that would be harder than witnessing this situation, would be having a caring, sensitive medical professional like yourself, in a bureaucracy that no longer has the patient as the bottom line. It makes me so grateful to be a veterinarian because we do not have our hands tied by medicare/medi-cal or any other insurance companies. We still get to practice medicine without the bureaucratic bull*!@t Thank you one and all, I'll let you know how the miracle progresses. Big Love & hugs, jody |

| #15 | Jody,
What's the name and location of your Mom's nursing home? Does it have a web-site?
Thanks,
Margaret
