Several years ago someone on this Forum mentioned the program of Chemo Angels.  Below is a paragraph taken from the Chemo Angel site.  At the time my husband Harry was in need of a Chemo Angel and I signed him up. It was truly wonderful.  You can sign up to receive a chemo angel or to be a chemo angel.  I have considered doing something like this in my church - on a very small scale in comparison to the Chemo Angel program.  Sandi

How the program works...

Chemo Angels is a program dedicated to supporting people with cancer. In addition to providing helpful information and cancer related resources, we match patients who are going through the difficult time of chemotherapy with "Angels". The function of these Angels is - through little notes, cards and occasional small gifts - to bring a bit of cheer and encouragement.

I benefited from this program and today I am good friends with my Angel who herself is a thriver of breast cancer. The program though is having rough financial times so if you can donate go to their site to learn more.
